In March, we celebrate the International Women’s Day all month long.

With the recent release of the Graduation and Registration data of women in architecture from the Parlour Data Bank (PDB), we see a gradual increase in both over the past 100 years.

The percentage of Australian women registered architects grew from 1.1% in 1925 to 31.3% in 2024 - slowly but surely.

We’re proud to have such talented women on our team, contributing to the work we do at arkLAB. Here’s to the continued growth and support of women in the industry.

arkLAB Founding Director, Alan Jordan, is pleased to announce the elevation of three of the team to Registered Architects status!

Bryoni Swan, Annie Ke and Haydn Smith have successfully completed their post-graduate experience requirements for registration with the Board of Architects of Queensland. Having passed their Architectural Practice Exams they have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the practice of architecture in Australia and a capacity to exercise professional skill to the high standards set. This is a stringent set of requirements to satisfy and each have performed with a high degree of professionalism in meeting this challenge.

It was a moment worthy of a celebratory lunch - well done Team !
