Jindalee Rover Scout Unit

This week we had a Pool night! We had heaps of fun playing pool and getting a bit competitive 🎱 It was also Kat's last night as a Rover before she ages out 🥲 We'll miss you Kat!

This week we all went to Grill'd Indooroopilly to support our groups local matters jar! We all loved this fun chill night 🍔

On Sunday, part of our unit who are involved in Brisbane Gang Show attended the annual Red Scarf Presentation. This year, Declan is a Cast Rep so he helped run a lot of the presentation and helped present scarfs to new members. Jess was also receiving her 10yr service scarf!

Last night we did MasterChef night 👨‍🍳 our teams had a challenge to bake something without a recipe and with 3 random ingredients. Team 1 made a brownie with a biscuit base and team 2 made oat, apple and peanut butter balls. With team 2 taking away the win 🏆

On the weekend a lot of our Rover's attended the Brisbane Gang Show Gala to celebrate the 75th season! We partied hard and had a great time. Some of our members even participated in a special performance ✨️❤️

Introducing our Treasurer - Maddie!!!
Maddie has been a part of Scouts since 2019 but before that had been in Guiding for over 9yrs. Her favourite thing about Scouts is the opportunities it's given her to particpate in overseas adventures (World Scout Moot and Roverway 2024). Maddie's fun fact is that she loves a roadtrip! 🚗

Yesterday, we sadly booted our beloved member Maggie!!! This was the first boot we have had for someone that was knighted at Jindalee. We're so sad to see Maggie go but we're so glad we got to share her scouting experience 🥾⚜️

Tonight we did the blind, deaf and mute cooking challenge. We had 2 groups that had to work together to bake brownies. Thanks Paige for running the night!

Last night we went to 123Boom!!! A real life arcade/game experience. We went through 6 rooms full of different challenges that we had to complete with a time crunch. Then the last room we had to disarm a bomb or we'd get splattered in paint! As you can see both teams failed to disarm the bomb in time 💣
