My (rather late) attempt at Faro de Lindesnes, from

I can’t say it went to plan. I was too impatient. Never mind, I had fun 👍

Fisherman’s cottage, in Pen n watercolour, drawn from a beautiful photograph by 😍

I didn’t intend for the sky to look so ominous. It was just the way it crept out and down towards the cottage.

I love this place so much, but have never had the pleasure of seeing it in person. Maybe one day I will get the chance, but for now I will rely on the photos of others.

Ah pencils are just the bee’s knees. 😎 As is One of my favourite subjects to sketch. TBD if this will get a watercolour treatment or not, but I just wanted to savour the sketch as is.

I know this photo wasn’t a challenge, but I loved it when I saw this gem from and added it to my list.

This was also a first try of a new pad from Such a lovely looking sketchpad, and handled the watercolour and ink really well. Very impressed! Will have to buy a few more now!

I took my sketchbook and pen with me to my Son’s piano lesson. With limited time at hand, I had this prompt from saved, awaiting such an opportunity. No pencil, just down in one m’boy!

I haven’t been doing my drawing lately, so it was nice to not overthink it. Cheers Doug, great subject! 👍

Venice. A quick sketch on some super-dooper paper. A mixture of ink, watercolour and pen.

Unfortunate bleed under the tape, but never mind, it was never going in any gallery anyway 😉

My attempt at prompt

I struggled with the perspective and sizing. I guess it’s been too long between sketches!

I used ink for the sky, rather than watercolour, for those playing at home.

Very rare for me to do anything larger than A5, but this one needed the extra real estate of an A4.

I was looking at photos of Venice, and found a beauty from .image.vibes 😍 I loved the monochromatic long exposure style, and tried to keep true to that.

Whilst I really want to get back to using pen and watercolour, I can’t get over using pencils.
