Another filter install Timelapse today. I’ve gotta learn not to stand in front of the camera 😅

Timelapse of a filter install this afternoon.

The old Crystal Clear filter was leaking from the multi-port valve to waste. This had been patched previously with a two-way valve on the waste line rather than fixing the root of the issue. Over time this worsened and was spraying water everywhere from leaks in the unions on the waste line.

Due to the age of the filter, a mismatch between pump and filter size, and because it was due for a media change, repair was not worthwhile and the client opted for replacement.

The new Astral CA400 Filter is now matched for size with the existing CTX400 pump and just fits into the equipment area.

Recent upgrade for a pool system in St Lucia. The site was constantly inundated so I levelled the area and laid a new slab with provisions for future upgrade plans.
A new Astral P520 VS pump and Superpool Premium Chlorinator and the system now runs longer hours to continuously skim leaves at a fraction of the previous power consumption.
