BURNOUT
Burnout, or HPA axis dysfunction (HPA-D) as it is officially known, is an overstimulation of the adrenal glands from chronic stress that may, over time, lead to varying levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) in the bloodstream.
Additionally, people with adrenal fatigue often don't have enough DHEA, the "parent hormone" responsible for creating many necessary hormones in the body.
Other aspects of modern life could be causing adrenal fatigue, including;
๐๐ป Poor diet
๐๐ป Sleep deprivation
๐๐ป Chronic stress
๐๐ป Stressful events in life, such as divorce or death
๐๐ป Emotional trauma
Symptoms may include;
๐๐ป Chronic fatigue
๐๐ป Disrupted sleep
๐๐ป Reduced exercise tolerance and recovery
๐๐ป Low libido
๐๐ป Brain fog
๐๐ป Hair loss
๐๐ป Weight gain
๐๐ป Insulin resistance
๐๐ป Weakened immune function
๐๐ป Decreased stress tolerance
๐๐ป Depression
๐๐ป Muscle or bone loss
๐๐ป Moodiness and irritability
Burnout affects nearly every cell and tissue in the body and can significantly affect your overall health.
โญ๏ธ We can improve this common issue naturally by focusing on your nutrient intake, lifestyle choices and some adaptogenic herbs.
