powered by and fresh eggs 🥚

i’m continuing to bulk bravo up to ensure he’s ready for the upcoming sporting season. we’ve got a lot on this year in terms of sport; lure coursing to dock diving to canicross!

i seriously cannot fault enduro and full boar. when i was struggling to get weight on bravo last year, i made the switch to it and it put weight on him when nothing else would. seriously recommend it for super active dogs who are struggling with gaining and/or keeping weight.

also love adding a bit of prime 100 to our meals as well for a little bit of extra protein in the form of meat! never hurts that bravo absolutely loves it!

(we’re not sponsored by any of these but we sure would like to be 😉😂)

Being a full time university student while working and competing with my dog…

…is hard.

Studying is hard. Working a casual job with no fixed hours is hard. Owning and training a dog is hard. On top of everything I maintain a life outside of my dog. All of these things together is even harder.

Despite how hard it is, I am so lucky to be able to do the things I do. Studying, working, having a vibrant social life and owning a dog that participates in events, sports and shows is a privilege.

Most of my life though, revolves around Bravo and what I do with him. Studying at university so I can work towards providing for him is paramount to me.

Most days I am so tired and struggle to even get out of bed but I do it. I do it because I want more out of myself, out of my time with my dog and out of life.

Because of that, I have had so many life changing experiences and opportunities thanks to Bravo. He has opened many doors for us and I am so grateful for it as it helps me find my own way in life too.

Some things to note as I navigate a hectic schedule are that time management, prioritisation and taking breaks are your friends. Balancing all of these things is tricky but when you’re determined, you find a way to make it all work. Despite how important it is to work hard and persevere, one of the key things truly is knowing when to step back and take a break.

Bravo and I are taking a little break from showing and sports over the summer as we absolutely smashed through a few months of almost non stop events while I was still studying and working. We’re absolutely wiped and are more than happy to stay home, go on small outings and gather our strength for the upcoming year.

Still, everything I do is only possible through hard work, perseverance and the support of many people, my friends and the community I surround myself with.

Sure, it’s hard work but I wouldn’t change anything because I want the best for myself and for Bravo.
