Happy World Poetry Day! ❤️ In Gabriel Rossetti's Roman de la Rose (1864), a kiss takes place in a garden of love, surrounded by roses and angelic song. 🌹 The painting was inspired by a poem of the same title by French 13th-century poet Guillaume de Lorris, which Gabriel translated in his 20s.
