Humane

The Man is a tune that was originally co-written with Michael Jensz and ended up being played acoustically at open-mic nights in the early 2000's. It went on a bit of a journey before being arranged as the electro rock pop song it is now.

We filmed this video at our friend, Madeleine's new rental in Preston. There are some serious 70's vibes to the decor! A massive thank you to Max Cammanaro for filming and editing the video. And thanks to Mark Stanley for a great recording and mix on the track.

Here is our latest visual creation - an AI generated music video for our instrumental track SEASONS.

SEASONS was written around 2007/2008, with the means of expressing the frustrations of being stuck in a job that doesn't align with your souls path. The song was originally written with lyrics, but during mixing we decided the track worked well as an instrumental.

The video was created by an Ecuadorian AI guru, named Paulo Caulderon. Working with Paulo was an absolute blast. The video is quite different to how we visioned, but this is the beauty of collaboration and letting someone else take reign with your art. There is plenty of symbolism and abstract meaning amongst this flashy sci-fi mini-movie!

The protagonist is a man trapped in the Factory of 2035, repeating the same actions days after day. He seeks escape through music, memory and cosmic transformation. His passion for music becomes his primary focus, the centre of his belief system and the driving force to get through the routine of a mundane life. Eventually the music consumes his entity, and he seeks and surrenders himself to the source of his creation.

New single alert!

Our latest single, Seasons will be available to download and streaming on iTunes and Spotify tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th.

This grungy instrumental originally had vocals and was recorded with two vocalists. It was also going to be released on our debut album (release pending) but was ultimately removed and added to our debut EP, “The Arrival” instead.

You can catch us playing Seasons this Saturday, the 21st at along with a bunch of new and old tracks. You can purchase a hard copy of our EP which includes our last single, “Questions” at the show.

Humane is a Melbourne-based gothic alt-rock band known for their captivating live performances, rich in musical depth and dynamic energy. Their sound blends the atmospheric tones of Pink Floyd, the raw power of Soundgarden, and the electric energy of Muse. With punchy guitar riffs, soaring vocals, and introspective lyrics, Humane resonates with both classic and modern rock lovers. Their live shows are immersive journeys, capturing the intensity and emotion of their music.
Catch them live at Bar Open in Fitzroy on Friday, March 14th. They’ll be joined by Chaise Egan, a powerhouse vocalist and guitarist playing an emotive blend of alternative covers, acoustic renditions from his melodic metal band Armoured Earth, and his original material. Opening the night will be Abraham Kenny, founding member of Humane, now a solo artist who spent over a decade in the Baltic States. Based in the abandoned concert hall Linnahall, he became a cult underground figure. His set blends analogue drum machines, live drumming, synths, electric guitars, and vocals to set the stage for an unforgettable night of music.
