The Friday Five! One of the most common questions we get asked is: "How do we get started?" Here's five tips.

1. Find some people who would like to get involved somehow. Don’t ask people what they want to see done, ask them what they could contribute.
2. Find out what interests or positively motivates them and what they are passionate about. Passion is a powerful force to mobilise!
3. Choose something small and fun and then do it! Don't overthink it! Painting a seat, hosting a picnic or doing a street walk (Jane's Walk) are some quick wins. Discover some ideas in our free 20 Quick Wins Guide - https://lnkd.in/dNrfjei9
4. Celebrate and promote the win - post some pics on social media. Positive action and momentum might help to attract others to get involved.
5. Repeat the process. Lots of small wins can contribute to making a big difference!

Team work makes the dream work! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help us with our fundraiser! And to all those who we kept cool on a very hot day with cool drinks and yummy hotdogs! We need these fundraisers so we can keep up the good work in our local community here in Riseley St, Ardross and surrounds. Big shout out to Baker’s Delight who came through for us with those yummy buns when our order was cancelled the day before argh! 🌭 love your work everyone!

Hope to see all our new and old supporters down at Bunnings Melville from approx am to 4pm this Sunday 14th Jan. Its going to be a warm one so we have heaps of cool water and soft drinks to quench your thirst from Shopping at Bunnings! Hotdogs $3.50 and drinks $1.50.

All proceeds go to Rise up Riseley fundraiser to keep us operating for another year and towards more community initiatives. If you are interest in joining our Town Team please see us on the day and register your interest.

Rise up Riseley will be holding a fundraising sausage sizzle at Melville Bunnings next Sunday 14th January.
Please come down and support us! We would love some extra helpers on the day to cook and serve customers so please contact us if you would like to be a part of this community event.

Fundraising like this means we can get much needed funds to do the things to support our local community in Ardross, Applecross, Booragoon and surrounds!

Please support our precious Wildlife over the next few days during this heat wave 🥵 Place a shallow water dish under somewhere nicely shaded and please put a stick in the dish so the insects 🐝 can access the water but not drown, once they have had a drink. It’s the least we can do to support them 🙏🏼
