🍐🌶The Alexandra Dehydrator Project has been putting fresh fruit and vegetable scraps from Grant St. Grocer and Alexandra Fruit & Veg through the Worms Downunder worm farm for months now. We recently harvested a whopping 65L of worm tea and over 30kg of worm castings to go back into local soils to produce more locally grown fruits and vegetables. Food waste is costing Australian households up to $3,000 a year — ABC News As a nation, Australians are throwing too much food in the bin.

🥗🍗ReSource Alexandra is an environmental project, from Sustainability Victoria grant funding, taking the food waste from local cafes and businesses and processing it through a dehydrator to turn it into a useable garden product. We are really proud to say that, so far, we have saved over 8 tonnes of organic waste going into landfill and that is at a small, volunteer run scale. Imagine what we could achieve!🥦🍋
