We can’t wait to share the wonderful world of poultry with the minds of the future.

The Chicken Lady is putting together some hands-on activities to get the kids involved and learning about:
• Poultry care
• Poultry anatomy
• Poultry genetics
And most exciting of all… we’ll be bringing along a few of our own feathered friends for everyone to meet.

Spring Layers

Our current 8-week-old hybrid layers (Australorp, Rhode Island and Leghorn) are at the perfect age for families wanting to raise their own hens from a young age.

At this age they’re old enough to settle into their new home, but still young enough to build a bond and become friendly family pets before they start laying.

They’re currently transitioning onto Pullet Grower, so they’ll need to be kept separate from existing laying hens for a little while.

Pickup available 2pm Saturday — orders are essential.

Fresh Local Layers Available in Albany.

We’ve currently got a range of laying girls available for local pickup in Albany

Rhode Island Hybrid layers – reliable, hardy girls known for excellent brown egg production and great all-round backyard performance.

Leghorn Hybrid layers – active, alert layers bred for efficiency and strong egg numbers, while using less feed than many heavier breeds.

Point of Lay Exchequer Leghorns – looking for something different in your pen. elegant black-and-white girls that stand out in any flock and are nearly ready to begin laying.

All birds are raised with quality feed, plenty of space to grow properly, and strong attention to health and biosecurity.

We’ve still got space on the ute and we’re rolling out tomorrow SUNDAY 26/4/26 — if you’ve been sitting on the fence, now’s the time.

Layers ready to go, plus a mix of other birds still available. Once this run is done, numbers are getting very thin.

Also loading up: • Mealworms — the ultimate treat (and a great boost this time of year) • Dewormer — keep your flock healthy without the guesswork • Meat meal — supports feather growth and condition during molting season.

If you’ve been meaning to top up your flock or sort your feed and health supplies, this is your chance to do it in one hit.

We’ll meet at a central location in each town, with a minimum of three orders needed to make a stop — so grab your mates and make it a flocking party.
