At Goodstart Payneham, we believe that wellbeing matters for everyone – children, families, and educators alike.

Once a month, our team enjoys a special Wellbeing Day where educators swap their uniforms for casual clothes and come together to focus on connection, positivity, and self-care. As part of the day, we also orgainse a fun activity for our staff, children, and families to participate in together.

These days provide a wonderful opportunity to strengthen relationships, create lasting memories, and promote a positive and supportive community within our centre.

Today we were able to tie together elements of our program with a spontaneous teachable moment with the guidance of our daily happiness calendar. Children explored further into emotions through the use of descriptive language to describe certain characteristics of each individual.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone — 20 years of service for our amazing Centre Director, Jessica Vatsilas.

Over the past two decades, Jessica has shown unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to not only the children and families within our community, but also to every educator who has had the privilege of working alongside her. Her leadership, care, and determination have helped shape Goodstart Payneham into the warm, welcoming, and supportive environment it is today.

Jessica has achieved so much throughout her journey, continuously inspiring those around her with her drive, compassion, and commitment to excellence. Through every challenge, celebration, and milestone, she has always led with heart and has made a lasting impact on so many lives.

Goodstart Payneham has become more than just a workplace — it has become a part of Jessica’s family, and her love for the centre shines through in everything she does.
