PC Repairs from Elizabeth South | Diagnosis from $50
Hi, I’m Ethan, and I run Byte By Byte PCs from Elizabeth South.
I work on desktops and laptops, including slow systems, overheating, crashes, power problems, Windows issues, upgrades, and custom PC builds.
Workshop diagnosis starts from $50. Once I’ve checked the computer, I’ll explain what I found and provide a quote before any repairs or upgrades go ahead.
I keep costs upfront. If anything extra comes up, I’ll check with you first. If a repair or upgrade is not worth doing, I’ll say so.
On-site diagnosis, pickup, and delivery may be available by appointment. Please message first to arrange a drop-off, pickup, or booking.
When you message, please include:
Device type
What’s going wrong
How long it’s been happening
Your suburb
Any recent changes, drops, spills, upgrades, or error messages
I’ll get back to you as soon as I can and help work out the best next step.
Byte By Byte PCs is now taking local bookings!
Having computer issues? I’m offering local PC diagnosis, repairs, upgrades and custom builds across northern Adelaide, with wider Adelaide available by arrangement.
I can help with gaming PCs crashing, overheating or not turning on, slow computers and Windows issues, SSD, RAM and GPU upgrades, new PC setup and file transfer, dust cleaning and basic maintenance, and custom gaming, school and work PC builds.
Pricing starts from $50 for workshop diagnosis, with onsite callouts from $80 depending on location. Repairs are quoted before extra work continues, and parts are quoted and paid before ordering.
As a small thank you during this early launch stage, I’m offering $20 off repair labour if you go ahead with a quoted repair after diagnosis. This applies to labour only, not diagnosis fees, callouts or parts.
Based in Elizabeth South. Pickup and drop-off are arranged by appointment.
For a quote or booking, send through your issue, suburb, and whether it is a desktop, laptop or gaming PC. I’ll use that to work out the best next step and give you a clearer idea of diagnosis, repair or upgrade options.

Happy New Year Everyone!
I just want to say thank you for all the support throughout this year. It has been difficult at times and definitely eye opening, but I am grateful for everything it’s taught me.
I’m heading into the new year ready to take on whatever challenges come next and to keep building something I genuinely care about.
I wish you all a happy new year filled with joy and prosperity.
May your frames be high and your temps cool.

Wondering why your PC always runs worse in summer? 🥵 Here's why!
First off, it isn’t your imagination, they really ARE slower, and there’s science behind it.
✨ Thermal Throttling ✨
PCs are like humans, they can’t handle sustained heat for long periods. To protect themselves, they slow down to avoid damage or complete failure.
You might notice this in a few ways:
Louder fans
Random stuttering
Lag in menus
Sudden shutdowns
If your PC has been feeling “off,” slow, or sluggish lately, there’s a good chance it’s heat-related. A quick dust clean, airflow check, and fresh thermal paste can rejuvenate your system and save your components from becoming e-waste!
If your PC is running loud or struggling, just shoot me a message, and I can get it sorted out!

🔥 PC Mythbusters!
A common myth I see floating around first-build groups and forums is: “More fans = better cooling.”
While there’s some truth to that claim, it’s not for the reason you might think. What you really want is BALANCED AIRFLOW. More fans can help, but only if they’re oriented correctly. Three or four high-quality fans in a proper intake/exhaust setup will almost always outperform eight random cheap fans blowing in every direction.
If you want tips on airflow setup, temperature optimization, or fan placement, DM me, I’m always happy to help!

⚠️ PC Safety Warning
I’ve seen too many brand-new builds ruined in seconds, so let me give you a quick tip: never put your PC on a tiled surface.
Tempered glass is tough on the face panel, but extremely fragile on the edges. Combine that with the tiny ridges in ceramic tiles, and a small bump can lead to a sudden, explosive shatter and your brand-new Christmas build gone before first boot.
Keep your new best friend safe and your wallet even safer.
