2/8/26 – St George Challenge with Aurora 🔥🥖

After a last-minute change of plans, Bandera and Aurora went head-to-head in a Sweet vs Savoury Damper Challenge!

There was chocolate, raspberry and marshmallow stuffed damper, cheesy garlic bites, mini pizzas, and even a pizza shaped like Elijah’s face 🍕😂.

Congratulations to Aurora Rover Unit for taking the win! 🏆 Thanks to everyone who came along for an awesome night of food, laughs, and keeping warm around the campfire.

29/7/26 – Nightwalk Investiture 🥾🔦📿

Tonight, Bandera headed to Belair National Park for a night walk, making our way through Echo Tunnel before tackling some seriously slippery trails to reach the beautiful Lower Falls waterfall💧.

To top off an awesome night, we officially invested three new members 🎉. A huge welcome to Alex, River & James to Bandera. Here’s to new faces, muddy boots, and unforgettable memories! 🧡🥾

19/7/26 – Illuminate ✨💡🚦

Tonight Bandera headed into the city to experience the incredible displays at Illuminate Adelaide!

We kicked off with Immersed: Light & Art, exploring a range of stunning local light artworks, before exploring the city lights along North Terrace.

The highlight of the night was definitely the giant bird puppets! A huge thank you to James for organising such a fun and memorable night out!

28/6/26 – Map Making 🧭✍️🗺️

This week we put our navigation skills to the test as we learnt how to read and create our very own maps... almost perfectly to scale! 😆

Using triangulation, trilateration, and various inaccurate measuring, we worked together to map out our hall from scratch. Safe to say we also learnt an important lesson about what happens when you bring metal anywhere near a compass... 😂🧲

A huge thank you to Sam for running such a creative, hands-on, and informative night! 👏

27/6/26 - Flamboree 2026 🔥🏕️🪵

This weekend Bandera visited the fabulous Woodhouse, engaging with some old time favourite activities including mastering challenge hill, the mirror maze, labyrinth, tube slide and of course the children’s playground.

Towards the end of the evening we got cozy, sharing warm foods, snuggling up to a campfire, and beating the world record for roasting the most marshmallows simultaneously.

Thank you to all the Bandera members that could attend, it was a blast ☄️ .

Shoutout to everyone who organised such an amazing Branch event, including all the volunteers and Lincoln.

21/6/26 - Dumbo Drop 🗺️🕵️😋

Dumped in the middle of nowhere, Bandera had to decipher cryptic clues to solve their way back home (the nearest McDonald’s).

With great teamwork and decoding, we successfully made our way back, spoiling ourselves with a cheeky McFlurry as a reward 🍦

Thanks to Will for organising the night!

14/6/26 - Painting Night! 🎨🖼️

Tonight our creative juices were flowing as we put our artistic skills to the test! 🖌️🫟

We started the night by painting our name using our dedicated colours, doing our best to attempt an ombré pattern. Then came the real challenge- everyone created and guessed an art piece based on a mysterious prompt. Safe to say there were plenty of… creative interpretations! 😆

Shoutout to Grace and Lily for organising and running such a fun night, full of many laughs, great conversations and some “impressive” artwork! ✨

7/6/26 - Hike @ Caroona Creek 🏔️🥾🗺️

With a casual 3hr drive north, Bandera set-off on a three-day hike through Caroona Creek.

Over the weekend, the group put their navigation skills to the test, following contour lines and implied creeks. Along the way we visited Tourilie Hut, the conservation park lookout, and a waterfall that was enthusiastically missing the one thing waterfalls are known for… 💧

Between steep ridges, rocky creek beds, and developing blisters, we had an unforgettable weekend pushing our skills and enjoying the adventure ⛰️✨

Shoutout to Alfie & Ethan for planning, organising and leading this amazing hike, it’s been our first in a while!
