7/6/26 - Hike @ Caroona Creek 🏔️🥾🗺️

With a casual 3hr drive north, Bandera set-off on a three-day hike through Caroona Creek.

Over the weekend, the group put their navigation skills to the test, following contour lines and implied creeks. Along the way we visited Tourilie Hut, the conservation park lookout, and a waterfall that was enthusiastically missing the one thing waterfalls are known for… 💧

Between steep ridges, rocky creek beds, and developing blisters, we had an unforgettable weekend pushing our skills and enjoying the adventure ⛰️✨

Shoutout to Alfie & Ethan for planning, organising and leading this amazing hike, it’s been our first in a while!

31/5/26 - Scavenger Hunt📍🗺️❓

This week we hosted a spectacular scavenger hunt. Following grid references, each group made their way to a challenge point. Run by Bandera members, each group faced a physical or mental challenge to unlock their next destination and part of the coordinates for the bonus destination!

Each group completed challenges including a blindfolded maze, scouting trivia, morse code, knot tying, star charting, and an epic photo challenge ^

Thank you to all the rovers that turned up and made the night even better! Shoutout to Sebastian for organising an amazing night! It was super fun and full of laughs!

24/5/26 - Geocaching Night 🗺️☘️🫙

Hidden clues, unexpected detours, and plenty of teamwork made for a memorable night of adventure.

Turns out finding hidden caches is a lot harder when your entire team is convinced “it’s definitely over here.”

However, despite the cold and wet, and some misleading hints… we eventually found most of them in the end. Didn’t take too many photos as not to spoil!

Shoutout to James for planning a new course of geocaching we’d never been to before and teaching us to use the geocaching app!

17/5/25 - Survivor Night! 🔥🌴

Outwit. Outplay. Outlast.

Taking a turn on the classic television show Survivor, Bandera faced a night full of challenges, laughs, alliances and betrayals.

From an obstacle course, puzzle solving, blind folded maze, lego building and can stacking, each tribe fought fiercely to stay in the game. Every challenge and decision counted to avoid your torch being snuffed 💨.

Congratulations to Sam with the comeback of the century, coming back from the jury to take the crown and glory of being the first winner of Bandera Survivor!🥇👑

10/5/26 - Chip Crawl 🍟😋

Tonight, Bandera was released into the public, venturing through Glenelg to find the perfect chip!

From various categories, including saltiness, crunchiness and portion sizes, we tested chips from all over Jetty Rd.

After we were chipped out, we came to a final decision. Congratulation to Colley’s for winning the best chips! 🙌

8/5/26 - Quiz Night w Venturers! ⁉️🤔💭

Tonight, Bandera teamed up with the Flagstaff Hill Venturers for the ultimate trivia showdown! 🧠🔥

With misleading category names, unexpected questions, and chaotic bonus rounds, teams had to think fast, work together, and trust their random knowledge 😵‍💫📚

From guessing secret themes and pop culture questions to competitive debates over “the right answer”… the night was full of laughs, teamwork, and way too much overthinking. Congratulation to team 2 for taking the win by 1point! 🏆🥇

Shoutout to Alice and Sam for running an amazing quiz night, filled with plenty of laughs, arguing and a very competitive game of dodgeball in the middle!
Also, a huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a fun and energetic night! ✨

3/5/26 - St George Challenge VS Ace! 🧩❓📸

This week Bandera went head-to-head with in a highly competitive scavenger hunt through the city!

In teams, groups raced around solving puzzles and riddles. Following the clues to different landmarks and hidden spots. Each team had to take photo at their answer.📍📸

Every correct answer unlocked the next location — and if you managed to solve every clue… successfully…, you’d make your way all the way back to the starting point! 🏃‍♂️💨

With competitive energy and chaotic teamwork, it was a night full of problem-solving, quick thinking, and venturing around the city. 🔍✨

3/5/26 - Craft Night! 🧵🛠️

Tonight we got hands-on with a special craft night making our own Woggles from scratch!

From carving leather, hole punching, and lacing the edges, there was a lot of trial and error, but they came together pretty well!

Although each unique…, what made them special was our own Bandera branding to top it off.

Shoutout to Jamie for the amazing night and showing us how it’s done!

25/4/26 - Anzac Day Netball! 🏐🏅

For our first time, Bandera faced the annual Rover Anzac Day Netball Competition.

With a mix of questionable passes, interesting calls from the refs, and plenty of chaos, we somehow managed to land in 4th place! 🎖️

A night of secrets, lies, and one deadly truth...

Last night, the room was filled with whispers, hidden agendas, and carefully crafted alibis. But not everyone walked away innocent 👀.

Searching for clues, confirming suspicions and calling peoples’ bluffs. As the clues unfolded, the truth became impossible to ignore.
