Some bits and pieces purchased yesterday for my artworks. Patrick’s on Magill Road and SueClaytables on Duthy Street are a couple of my favourite place to search in Adelaide. But I still think our shop “Our Beautiful Pieces “ on Unley Road is the best.

I use these lovely vintage butterfly brooches in a lot of my artwork. There’s a nice lot in this collection.

Using old coloured counters, broken jewellery etc.

This collage picture I made from early photos, cards, lace and other pieces of ephemera. It has a bit of a French theme. The crucifix came from my French family who my cousin assured me were not religious. Must go back quite a way then.

Sorry folks where does the time go? I’m busy making brooches, pictures and cards. It’s February already.

I saw this interesting exhibition in Edinburgh earlier this year. Too much to capture all of it but this 2019 dress caught my eye for its similarity to early Victorian dresses. Very beautiful.

I made this brooch from vintage pieces to wear at my nephews wedding in the UK with this lovely kookaburra dress. Both were a big hit. 😄

Not long until Christmas (horror) and I have no collage trees left. This is the last one I made and it sold straight away. A pink Christmas tree as a nod to Barbie ha ha.
