Revealing Home Grown print ‘Balhannah - Tanahmerah Road’.

When we opened our flower boutique in 2014 we had the most incredible local growers, just on our back doorstep.

This print is an ode to Des and Ange Kidman. The time, love and care they committed to their farm Kidman Flower Farm shone so brightly.

Their passion and drive for beautiful, fresh natives was second to none. Their love of the land exuded in everything they did, so many of the visits to the farm had Ange driving me around the property hand picking the best of the best foliage and King Protea stems.

These were some of the happiest memories of my time in the flower industry.

‘Seeking Simplicity’ ~ this Home Grown collection has been centred around this at its absolute core. A collection of 16 new fine art prints is dropping Tuesday 16, June to our waitlist and June 18 to the general public.

Stu and I have been seeking a life that feels authentic to us, a life that is slow, a life that shows our children what our childhoods were like. We are also looking for our true ‘home’ and where that is and where we feel at peace. Ultimately the flowers and working with our hands to create is where we feel calm and most authentic. But we are looking for the day to day have that same essence. A peace and mindfulness.

We paint the backdrops first, we create the floral installation and then it is captured by photograph. Lastly, we print on archival Cotton Rag paper and Satin Canvas - here in Australia. 🤎

Home isn’t always a place. Sometimes it’s the quiet moments that bring you back to yourself. For us, it has always been flowers. The ritual of creating, working with our hands, gathering natural textures, and being surrounded by the beauty of the flowers led us to this path and still leads us each day. 🤎
