This week, we said goodbye to a titan of the industry. Lang inspired so many people, not just through his commercial achievements and amazing vision, but also through his philanthropic endeavors. I had the privilege of dining with Lang not too long ago, during one of the industry's most challenging times. Despite this, he still offered his time and an open invitation to call him anytime. Lang was truly an amazing man, leaving behind an amazing legacy.

Last night, MPG had the pleasure of attending the 'Flourish' function at Victoria Park Social Club, hosted by Matt Preston from Masterchef. Renowned chefs Paul Baker, Jake Kellie, Jessie Spiby cooked some amazing dishes that were paired with delicious wines.

The evening supported The Village, a charity organisation founded by local South Australian Steph Milan, who brings together a community of compassionate people to make a difference by gifting bags of essential items to struggling new mums and their babies. Last Friday, MPG attended the Super Loong Lunch, an annual fundraiser supporting families in Financial Services and this year, personal friends - the Cuthbertson Family - were chosen. After already losing a child to cancer, Ben and Laura's beautiful boy Asher has also been diagnosed with an unrelated cancer. A pleasure to welcome the South Australian Tourism Commission CEO Emma Terry, Chairman Andrew Bullock and Executive Director, Destination Development Nick Jones to the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Wallaroo Shores Resort this week.

Once completed this resort will be the largest of it’s kind in South Australia, catering to local, national and international visitors.

Good progress is being made onsite to deliver the $42m Wyndham Wallaroo Shores Resort.

Comprising 95 two storey townhouses and 5 single storey dwellings, this development is designed to cater to the unprecedented tourism demand in the Yorke Peninsula, as well as opening up major opportunities in the event and conference markets for the local community.
