The 'Boomerang' style home is an Aussie 1960's classic home. There is probably a Boomerang near you, sitting comfortably on a corner block, and you didn't even realize it!

This highly ornate style included features such as circular windows, elaborate timber detailing and turrets over corner bay windows. Here are some photos of a few Adelaide darlings that I have spotted recently.

In Adelaide the Symmetrical Cottage was being built between approx 1860 to 1915. The Symmetrical (or Double Straight Fronted) Cottage is easily recognized by a central front door, a window either side, low main roof and a front verandah. The verandah roof styles vary from concave, convex and bullnose and may also feature a central gable. Here are some photos of cottages I spotted while walking around Goodwood and Forestville, plus a recently completed ink and pencil drawing.
