Together we can create innovative, prosperous and resilient Indigenous businesses and communities.

We acknowledge the ongoing diphtheria outbreak affecting communities across the Northern Territory and other parts of northern Australia.

Diphtheria is a serious bacterial infection that can affect the throat, airways and skin. Vaccination remains the most effective protection against severe illness and helps protect families, Elders and communities.

We recognise the impact this outbreak is having on the communities affected, as well as on many of our team members who live and work across northern Australia and support these communities every day.

If you are unsure of your vaccination status, speak with your local health service, GP or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO).

At Ninti One, we encourage everyone to stay informed through trusted health sources and support community-led approaches to keeping our families and communities safe.

For National Reconciliation Week, we’re continuing to introduce Ninti One’s RAP Working Group. Meet Alanna, Sally and Zara! 👋

⭐ Alanna’s reflection
‘For me, reconciliation is not about repairing a relationship that once existed. There has never been a time in Australia when First Nations and non-First Nations peoples shared power, resources or decision-making in a way that reflected true respect, equity or cultural authority. Reconciliation is about co-creating a future we have not yet seen.

I joined the Working Group because reconciliation should be more than a statement of intent. It needs to be embedded into the core fabric of how an organisation works, makes decisions and is held accountable.’

⚡ Sally’s reflection
‘Reconciliation provides a foundation for First Nations and non-First Nations people to build a relationship based on equity, respect and trust. When this relationship is strong, both parties can face the hard truths of our shared history and work together to dismantle the colonial systems that continue to create today’s injustices.

Our RAP Working Group offers an exciting opportunity to deepen the relationship of reconciliation and foster an environment where we all come together to share in the opportunities and responsibilities of our workplace.’

💫 Zara’s reflection
‘Reconciliation belongs to everyone. At Ninti One, our RAP holds us accountable to truth-telling, healing and transforming relationships, not just for us today but to honour the past and ensure peace for future generations, so that our people, our ancestors and our land, skies and waterways can all be at peace together.’

For National Reconciliation Week, we’re introducing Ninti One’s RAP Working Group. Meet Eliza and Kate! 👋

⭐ Eliza’s reflection
‘As a non-Indigenous Australian, to me reconciliation is taking active steps to learn about our First Nations peoples and cultures, and change the systems modern Australia is built upon that diminish the authority and opportunities of First Nations peoples. We all have the chance and the responsibility to engage with the cultures and communities that are Indigenous to our land.

The Working Group supports Ninti to be accountable and transparent in how we make consistent, positive impacts on First Nations communities – and supports me to be more active and accountable in the way I pursue reconciliation in my day-to-day life.’

⚡ Kate’s reflection
‘Reconciliation is about acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of this land, recognising past injustices, and committing to doing better in the present and into the future. Reconciliation is a continuous journey I am proud to walk alongside my Aboriginal colleagues as I continue learning how to be a better ally.

Joining the Working Group felt like a meaningful way to give back, helping ensure reconciliation continues to be embedded in the way we work.’

For National Reconciliation Week, we’re introducing Ninti One’s RAP Working Group. Meet Caitlin and Rod! 👋

⭐ Caitlin’s reflection
‘Ninti often works at the intersection of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal systems - advising governments, research institutions, and service providers while also representing the aspirations of First Nations communities. A RAP positions Ninti to lead by example, showing how we can formalise reconciliation practices internally and in the wider networks we influence.

I joined the RAP Working Group as I’m a grassroots thinker – the Group provides an opportunity to focus on the practicalities of a fundamental aspiration, and to learn and share learning.’

⚡ Rod’s reflection
‘To me, reconciliation means respecting and harmonising the relationships and worldviews of First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous people, towards equal opportunities and outcomes for all.

Principally, I am motivated to contribute to reconciliation, nationally. By being on the Working Group, I can show my committed leadership, contribute to and support the ‘A’ for Action component of reconciliation across Ninti’s broad footprint.’

National Reconciliation Week is a time to pause, reflect, listen and connect.

Across Australia, our team is marking the week in meaningful ways, including attending the National Reconciliation Week Breakfast hosted by Reconciliation South Australia in Tarntanya on Kaurna Yerta. We’re grateful to be part of these important conversations and shared moments of reflection. Take a look at some photos from this inspiring event.

Throughout the week, our team will also connect with Country and community by attending local events, joining webinars, participating in cultural and historical tours, and taking part in initiatives such as The Long Walk in Melbourne.

National Sorry Day invites us to reflect on one of the most painful chapters in Australia’s history and the lasting impacts felt by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

Today, we honour Stolen Generations survivors, acknowledge the grief and resilience carried across generations, and recognise the importance of truth, healing and cultural connection.

At Ninti One, we remain committed to walking alongside communities through listening, learning and action.
