Please do not ask us if we are looking for a singer. We are instrumental by design. Check out some of our influences and you will see where we are coming from - Planet X, On the Virg, Animals as Leaders, Scale the Summit, Cloudkicker, Exivious, Liquid Tension Experiment.

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who checked us out at The Tote on the weekend! We loved being a part of Dino Mosh and send a massive thanks to Tyrannocoreus on PBS 106.7FM for inviting us to be a part of it. It was such a fun day with 15 bands ensuring the metal did not stop flowing! We now go back into hibernation as we finish writing music for our next releases! (Yes plural)

"Wallet Inspector", Thursday, music recommendation.

Be sure to follow the "Bleak Flesh Recommends!" playlist.

With an instrumental style incorporating elements of progressive metal, jazz fusion, death metal, djent and funk, Wallet Inspector’s music is hard to classify in a single genre. The music showcases virtuosity through guitars, bass and drumming in the absence of vocals to take the listener on a journey often with multiple themes in a single track. The band has gained attention with their polyrhythmic riffing, metric modulation, seamless blending of styles and microtonal elements. In 2024 Wallet Inspector embarked on their first international tour playing across New Zealand and released their debut album ‘Ephemeris’ along with 4 music videos. In 2025 the band began writing 2 new EPs of contrasting styles to push the extremes of their music. Wallet Inspector released one Ep on 2016 called "Singularity" and "Ephemeris", a full length in 2024.

We'd love to thank everyone who came down to see us on Friday night! We know we were competing with Knotfest, so we really appreciate that so many people still came to our show.

Massive thanks to and 👌

We will be taking a short break from shows while we get to work writing our new EP which will be a slightly musical different direction to 'Ephemeris'. Stay tuned 🤘
