A recent school holiday activity!

Hope In Every Step!
Together we walk to support those affected by homelessness in our community and champion action for change.

We will walk from the rotunda on the corner of Wehl St North and Commercial St West to the Mount Gambier Library, where One Forty One will be providing a sausage sizzle!

We ask you to join us and consider bringing a pair of new or near new shoes to donate to those in need in our community. All types and sizes of shoes in great condition are welcome. With each step we show our support to those living without secure and safe housing. With each pair of shoes donated, we provide real support to those in need.

Donation baskets are available on the day, or at headspace Mount Gambier, Uniting Communities on Helen St, and Mount Gambier Library.

This year marks a major milestone – five decades of NAIDOC Week bringing people together to celebrate culture, truth-telling, resilience, pride and community leadership.

50 Years of Deadly is a tribute to the people who built this movement. It honours the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression, and the communities who have continued to show up, speak up and lead the way, year after year.

Across Uniting Communities, NAIDOC Week is an important opportunity to listen, learn, celebrate and reflect. It’s a time to recognise the leadership and ongoing contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – not only across the country, but within our own services, teams and communities.

Let’s be honest every month is Pride Month at Bfriend! We bring joy, vibrancy and sometimes a little glitter into everything we do. But we also know that while some of our team are loud‑and‑sparkling kind of people, others show up in ways that are steady and low‑key and the same is true across our whole community. Our journeys are entirely personal, and whether bold or subtle, every expression of who we are is valid. At the heart of it all, every one of us deserves to be seen, valued, and free to belong🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
