Tonight ✨✨Hilary Kleinig - cello / electronics
Emily Tulloch - violin
ALONE: TOGETHER the debut solo album by awara-winning cellist / composer Hilary Kleinig, explores the sonic possibilities of the cello - bowed, plucked, harmonic and percussive - played alone but together with looping layers and echoes of self.
Fusing influences of folk, classical, EDM and pop, ALONE: TOGETHER offers listeners music of sublime beauty, symphonic textures, ecstatic grooves and lush harmonies, all created by one multi-layered cello.
Joined by a very special local guest in each city for her national album launch tour, Hilary is thrilled to share the stage with sublime violinist Emily Tulloch in Adelaide.
A special performance by these two extraordinary artists, performing alone and together.

COMA is delighted to launch a NEW program in collaboration with our friends at Studios!
Were you a performer or an audience member in the early days of COMA? Do you remember the feeling of trying out fresh, new material to an open-minded audience? Perhaps it was a feeling of danger – of risk-taking, of not quite being ready to test your work but putting it out there regardless.
Now, we know we still provide a platform for new work and experimentation, but over the years the process of getting a COMA gig has become more selective, and with that the projects presented more developed. This has given us an idea!
In our 21st year we’re looking backwards (but always moving forwards!), with The Rehearsal Room: a new place to share work in its *very* early stages.
We’re trialling a first Rehearsal Room on the afternoon of Sunday 30 August at Wizard Tone Studios, and we are opening a callout to artists who would like to be involved.
We’re looking for experimental work in its early stages that you, the artist, want to share with an interested and supportive audience. Your performance can be between 15 and 30 minutes in length, and we will curate a program based on submissions.
Head to our website for more information and to apply, and as always email us with any questions.
