WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW & DONT SEE ABOUT TATTOOERS : People see the finished tattoo. They see the art, the confidence, the steady hand, and the years of experience…What they don’t see is what it takes to get there. Years of sitting in the same position for hours making us to have a natural frozen shrimp 🦐 posture ! Thousands of hours holding a machine.Constant strain on the neck, shoulders, back, wrists and hands. Carpal tunnel. Back problems. Neck problems. Joint pain.Eyes getting tired from focusing on tiny details for hours at a time. They don’t see the physical price that can come with decades behind the machine and the thousands of ibuprofen taken…And yet, we keep showing up. Because tattooing isn’t just a job. For many of us, it’s a craft that becomes part of who we are, even physically .The older we get, the more our bodies remind us of the years we’ve put into this Craft .But experience has its own value: The steady hand comes from thousands of tattoos. The eye comes from decades of observation. The confidence comes from making mistakes, learning, adapting and continuing.Tattooer evolution isn’t just about getting older… It’s about everything your body, mind and hands have learned along the way. Respect the craft. Respect the tattooer… because decades behind the machine leave a mark on the tattooer too… #tattoo #tattoos #tattooer #tattooist #california
