Hightime
We like music, partying and being around awesome people; starting a band was just a logical step...

At the start of the band, when we used to play every weekend around Adelaide, there was always one familiar face: Alex Kwong Photography
He was the equivalent of a nightclub photographer for our punk rock scene; he didn't just capture the bands, he captured the community. In an era when phone cameras barely worked and you relied on that one friend with a digital camera, his snaps became the definitive record of people's outer lives.
His work is outstanding. A wedding photographer by weekend and a band photographer by night, Alex is the confident cameraman that social anxiety fears, and damn is he good at what he does.
Check out his beautiful collection from our Saturday night show (and hire him to shoot your wedding).
Thanks for shooting so many memories for us over the years, mate. We appreciate you ❤️

Dan from No Quiet Photography pulled off some magazine-worthy shots from our Saturday night show. It’s no surprise really, as you'll usually find him shooting for Wall of Sound, but this time was more of a personal venture.
He captured us in our element at one of our favourite venues, in a room full of our favourite people. Dan has a unique way with colour and tactical lens blur that creates a style all of his own, and we love these little moments he grabbed from that second night.
Thanks Dan 💙

We’re pretty sure Austin Silcock spent more time in the air than behind the lens at our gigs, yet somehow managed to capture these incredible shots from the Friday night show.
If Dougy’s gallery captured what it felt like to be in the crowd, then Austin’s pics definitely captured how fun it was for us to be on stage in that room with you all.
Super close, personal, and looking like they’re fresh out of a 90’s skate movie, Austin caught those small, joyful moments we share with you in the front row (sorry Dave).
He also surprised us in the green room straight after the set, catching us in a group hug at our absolute happiest.
Thanks for the snaps dude. We appreciate you 🧡

Our boy Dougy (Chanty Media). You've all seen him at a Hightime show. Whether in Adelaide or somewhere else around the country, he's always been there with a camera in hand, probably jumping into the crowd, or with his bright smile right up in the action.
He's the biggest reason we've been able to document our band and the reason we could create A Decade of Thrivin' (our little youtube doco) out of his footage. He's seen us play at our best and let's just say, he's seen us play "a little under the weather".
His photos bring out a super unique angle to our concerts and really make you feel like you're right there with everyone in the pit; because you are, because that's where he is.
Please enjoy this little gallery of his shots from our Friday night show.
Thanks Dougy 💛

Mates, what can we say, you’re the heartbeat of this band 💚
Two nights at Jive, two sold-out rooms, and more vibe and memories than we could ever put into words. Being spread out across the globe these days makes the times we actually get together very special, but walking out onto that stage each night and seeing our community show up like that? That’s a whole different beast.
If you were there, we’re sure you felt the energy in that room; the positivity and connection that only a sweaty punk rock show could bring. With the world in such a turbulent place right now, it was beautiful to see everyone pause, smile and live in the moment. We truly hope you all had just as much fun as we did!
Not only that, but we hope you enjoyed some of Adelaide's most amazing bands over the weekend, because we sure as hell loved sharing the stage with them:
Stabbitha & The Knifey Wifeys
Young Offenders
LOLA
Witch Spit
Another big shout out is due for Jive for being some of the kindest hosts in the business and providing us with an amazing venue to share with you all.
Also, we forgot to throw out a massiveee thanks to our dear Pete & Mel at P*e Records for ALWAYS being there and supporting us, throwing ideas back n forth and helping get ourselves in order for these shows.
To every person who bought a ticket, grabbed a shirt, a record, danced or lost their voice with us down the front, thank you for making us feel at home. Your support never goes unnoticed.
We’ve got hundreds of photos from some incredible local photographers to share with you all soon. For now though, we’re still soaking this all in.
We’ll see you next time.
Big love, always.
The Hightime crew. xo

Thank you everyone, from the bottom of our hearts. Your support means the world to us and we absolutely cannot wait to share this weekend with you all, see you tomorrow 🧡
After a 6 year break, it feels damn good to be back in the same room getting loud! Setlist locked in and we're so stoked for the weekend to begin. Heads up, there's less than 10 ticks left for Friday night! If you want to be amongst the fun, this is officially the last chance 💚

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY THRIVE 🎉
We love this record, there's something about it that just feels close to home. Probably because it was our most DIY record (since 5 Buck Chuck, anyone still got that???).
We recorded the drums in the studio, then pieced everything else together in Reubens bedroom at the time.
The artwork by is absolutely incredible and he envisioned everything we wanted to express.
We'll be playing a few off this record in a few weeks at Jive.
If you still don't have a ticket, there's just over 40 left for the Friday night 💚 tickets via Moshtix.
