Five SAMFS pumpers on scene at a recent third alarm structure fire in Adelaide's north west. There are now 37, (2021-2025) of this style of Scania- Fraser Fire and Rescue units in service with the MFS. These appliances are from the 2024 and 2025 build program.

Tanunda took delivery of a new 34 last night.

The new Tanunda 34 is based on an Isuzu FTS150-260, is 4 x 4 and carries 3000 litres of water.

It is fitted with a six speed Allison transmission & Allison retarder.

Built by Fraser Fire, it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011W motor / Darley HE500 pump.

It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system.

The new heavy appliances also include air conditioning vents for the crews in the rear seats, as well as those travelling in the front of the cab.

It comes fitted with an LED light bar and an Engel fridge, and equipped with a Milwaulkee chainsaw.

It replaces the existing 6 year old Isuzu based Tanunda 44, which will be sent to another brigade.
