Participants learnt how to make botanical prints, drypoint on recycled materials, relief printmaking with ezy-carve and lino, and a range of printing techniques such as chine colle and gradient rolls. Participants also experimented with their own projects including printing on fabric, making cards and trialing different handmade papers.

There are two tickets left for my upcoming Printmaking for Beginners short course at Pepper Street Arts Centre🌿

In this hands-on short course, you will be introduced to a range of printmaking techniques including linocut, monoprint and drypoint printmaking.

Learn how to design, carve and print your own lino block onto fabric and paper, etch a drypoint image and print with a range of found and botanical textures. You will learn how to print by hand and with a press, learn how to use a range of printing processes and go home with the skills to continue printing in your own space.

Linocut Printmaking (6 week course)
Level: Beginner to intermediate
Dates: Wednesdays 18 Feb –25 March
Time: 6pm to 9pm

In this hands-on short course, you will learn how to develop a series of relief blocks and prints. Explore a range of printing processes including printing on fabric and paper, working in colour, multi-block printing, chine colle, printing by hand and with a press. Learn how to resolve an edition of prints and work with different kinds of printing papers. This course is ideal for anyone wanting to learn new skills or requires guidance with a relief project in mind! All printmaking materials will be provided, including lino, printmaking paper and a full colour palette of relief inks.
