Make your own red sauce this weekend?!
Red sauce is easy, cheap and a great way to add veggies into your meals. It can also be
used as a base for lots of healthy recipes from baked Spanish eggs, eggplant parmas, burritos, spag bol and more.
Cooking at home (and from scratch) is usually healthier than takeaway. Swap last minute delivery app scrolling next week for a bit of meal prep (and fun in the kitchen) this weekend: https://livelighter.com.au/news/make-your-own-red-sauce
Feels like your v**e has you trapped?

Cancer Council SA is thrilled to partner with Preventive Health SA to provide a combined $250,000 in grant funding to eight schools and early childhood centres across South Australia, helping them create shaded play areas for children to enjoy at recess and lunch!
We spent a lovely morning at Lake Windemere B-6 School this morning, one of our Shade Grants recipients. Lake Windemere will use its grant to build a vital shade structure as part of a new playground installation later this year.
"This funding does more than build shade – it builds peace of mind for our families, knowing their children have access to high-quality sun protection while enjoying our inclusive outdoor spaces." Lake Windemere School Principal, Michelle Lennox-Pavlovich
Effective shade, combined with best-practice sun protection, is one of the most effective ways to protect children from harmful UV radiation.
With two in three Australians diagnosed with skin cancer during their lifetime, increasing access to shade is an important step in reducing skin cancer risk for future generations.
We're proud to support these schools and early childhood centres in creating safer outdoor environments for their students.

Remember when you went to the Lost Forest in the Myer Centre and it was home to the puggles and there were soothing forest sounds playing, and trees growing out of the ground and the puggles would go down a little slide before coming home with you?
Well, just like we’ve triggered a memory here, your daily habits are often linked to triggers. If you’re trying to break a sugary drinks habit it can be helpful to keep your triggers in mind.
If your trigger is:
- Seeing a sugary drink – try not walking down the sugary drink aisle
- Routine based – try having water or a low sugar drink ready to go with your meal or whenever it’s sugary drink o’clock
- Stress or low mood - try planning some self care activities like meditation or walk outside
- Caffeine craving - swap an energy drink or cola for an (unsweetened) tea or coffee
- Thirst – try setting a regular reminder on your phone to drink water so you stay hydrated across the day
