This year’s Reconciliation Week, we’re called to go ALL IN, committing wholeheartedly to real, everyday action that supports reconciliation. The theme reminds each of us to show up, listen, learn, and play our part in creating meaningful change.

The NRW2026 artwork called "Gaayal" by artist Otis Hope Carey reflects this shared commitment. It uses the ocean as a metaphor for people from all walks of life swirling together to be ‘all in’ for reconciliation.

Proud to be a recognised RAP organisation, Butterfields values working alongside our people, partners, and community to create lasting reconciliation outcomes.

On-the-job learning is a huge part of how our apprentices grow, but it’s also the behind it that makes the difference.

Our electrical apprentice Mitch learned how to conduct thermal imaging from Josh, one of our qualified technicians. From reading results to following critical safety protocols and reporting properly, he gained real-world insight that goes beyond the basics.

We’re proud to support the next generation of skilled tradespeople by combining hands-on experience with the right guidance 💙. Our commitment to developing future talent is part of how we continue building a stronger industry for the long term.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗺𝘀
Being a mum is no easy task, especially for working mums juggling multiple priorities 💙. With Mother’s Day approaching, we invited some of the mums in our office to share their motherhood journeys.

All of them shared, “The most rewarding part of motherhood is seeing my children grow and achieve their best.”
They also mentioned "Patience" and "Multitasking" as valuable mum skills that play a big role in how they support others at work.

While their journey differs in some ways, one thing was unmistakable: the love, commitment and care they bring to both their families and their work. We hope their stories resonate with working mums everywhere ✨

This 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 (28 April), we’re recognising the importance of psychosocial health in the workplace.

According to Safe Work Australia, psychological risks like high workloads, unclear expectations, or lack of support can impact mental health and safety just as seriously as physical hazards — and must be managed with the same care.

To support our teams, we take a practical, people‑first approach:

💙Encouraging our people to speak up and look out for one another
💙Using The Hive to provide clear job visibility and progress tracking, helping staff better manage their capacity.

By prioritising both physical and psychosocial safety, we’re creating a safer, more supportive workplace where our people can do their best work.

Our riders shared about how special it is to be surrounded by strong, supportive teammates who challenge and uplift each other physically and emotionally. The wins are exciting, but the friendships and constant encouragement are what truly make this journey meaningful.

Recently, our teams came together for our first Toolbox Meeting and Company Breakfast of the 2026, hosted by our HVAC Services Manager, Darren Cross.

A key focus was reinforcing our safety protocol — Stop • Think • Identify • Plan • Proceed — a simple but vital pause before starting any field work.

Darren stressed: “Working as a tradesperson carries a shared responsibility for safety. It’s about the actions we take every day to protect one another.”

It was also great to welcome new faces, introduce growing opportunities, and connect as a team over breakfast. ☕👷‍♂️
