When Harry met Alice
Didn't get to read this 25 years ago.
It's refreshed, renewed, revised and ready to go.

Harry was minding his own business, running the stables at the Wallace Hill Estate. It was a strange arrangement, really. Harry’s family were among the poor, struggling farmers of the valley, until his older brother married the heiress to Wallace Hill. But that’s another story. Lady Wallace favored Harry in particular, him being the youngest. And now she wants him to charm her proper titled niece who is set to arrive from the old country. Harry is amused, but not convinced by any means. But before the niece makes an appearance, Lady Wallace passes away - and that scheme is forgotten.
Until Alice Melville arrives in Australia.
Alice had been minding her own business, but when her father could no longer face their English home following the loss of her mother, he decides to follow opportunity to Australia. The other side of the world. Alice is too young and too difficult to leave with her brothers, and is forced to accompany her father to the strange, hot, fly-infested country. She’s not happy, and let’s her father know at every possible turn.
And then she meets Harry.
Lady Wallace had dreamed of a charming romance.
Nothing could be more unlikely. Alice looks down her nose at an ordinary lower class stable hand. Harry takes offense at her uppity demanding tone.
Romance is not going to happen.
Until unlucky circumstance and mistaken interpretation of events dictate otherwise.
How will the pair of them cope?
Wallace Hill (The Heart of Green Valley) The fourth title in the 'Heart of Green Valley' historical romance series. Lady Vera Wallace’s dying wish was for Harry Shore, the young man who has been like the grandson she never had, to marry Alice Melville, the niece she has never met. Though Harry is amused at the old lady’s match-making, ...
