GOGO Foundation
Helping South Australia’s most vulnerable women overcome multiple barriers so they can achieve economic & social inclusion
Two weeks ago the Minister for Employment and Workplace relations, the Honourable Amanda Rishworth, announced significant reforms to Australia’s employment services. We deeply welcome these reforms.
Ensuring effective support is provided to people at the greatest distance from employment is critical to achieving employment and economic inclusion. This is the work we have been doing at the GOGO Foundation for the past 5 years.
Back in 2024, then the Minister for Social Services, Minister Rishworth recognised GOGO had something unique and impactful to offer. A grant from the Department of Social Services funded the life-changing services the GOGO Foundation was providing to women with the most complex barriers to employment.
These barriers include homelessness, domestic and family violence, trauma, social isolation, disrupted education, mental health challenges, poverty, caregiving responsibilities, experience of incarceration and long-term disengagement from the workforce.
GOGO Foundation's holistic, personalised, trauma-informed, wrap-around and long term-support is incredibly successful. 51% of our graduates are in safe and sustainable employment within 6 months of engaging with GOGO. The national average is 11.7%.
As Australia's employment services system moves toward a more differentiated model, we're excited by the opportunity to continue to shift the most marginalised out of unemployment.
We're already doing this work. We've built a strong methodology and framework grounded in trauma-informed, relational practice — and we look forward to what comes next.

Celebrating two incredible graduates from the Inclusive Work Program — Bug & Del — who are both now employed! 💫
One completed the program in our most recent cohort, while the other graduated over six months ago. Their journeys are a reminder that the impact of this work goes far beyond nine weeks. Every woman’s path is different, and for many of our participants, healing, rebuilding confidence, and re-entering the workforce takes time, ongoing support, and people who genuinely believe in them.
That’s why, even after the program ends, GOGO remains there, advocating, supporting, creating opportunities, and providing a safe, kind space for as long as each individual needs.
A huge thank you to Local Kitchen Co for reaching out to us with trust and openness, knowing we have women who are ready. Women with lived experience, resilience, determination, and the courage to begin new careers and new chapters in their lives.
Nothing was handed to these women. Everything has been earned through hard work, growth, and persistence. But being given the opportunity to step into an empowering and life-changing workplace can make all the difference.
We are incredibly grateful to partner with employers who see potential, not pasts. Congratulations Bug & Del — we are so proud of you both. ❤️

We are proud to announce a partnership between GOGO Foundation and IGA Bowden.
A shared commitment to inclusive employment and to the belief that business can and should be a force for genuine social change.
IGA Bowden joins us as a Foundation Business Supporter, and together we'll be working to create meaningful opportunities for the women in our programs, amplify our impact, and help build a more inclusive economy — right here in Adelaide.
GOGO Foundation is proud to receive funding from both the Community Chest and IGA Bowden directly. This valuable discretionary funding will contribute to the core and critical operational costs that keep our work going.
We are so grateful to have a local business partner who understands that doing good and doing well are not mutually exclusive.
Welcome to the GOGO community, IGA Bowden. We're glad you're here.
