💡 Local innovation is at the centre of Australia’s largest-ever defence export deal, with a $2.5 billion government-to-government agreement secured with Canada to deliver over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) capability.

Built on the success of the South Australian-developed Jindalee Operational Radar Network, the milestone marks the first international sale of Australia’s world-leading OTHR technology.

Led by BAE Systems Australia, the project is expected to support hundreds of highly skilled jobs, including in South Australia, strengthening the state’s role in defence innovation, capability and collaboration.

KONGSBERG Australia has exported the first batch of Australian-made Naval Strike Missile (NSM) Coastal Defence System (CDS) command and control consoles to Europe. 🌍

Produced at the KONGSBERG Mawson Lakes facility, the consoles represent a significant step in delivering advanced, locally manufactured defence capability to international markets.

South Australian tech makes a global impact! 🌏

Minelab Metal Detectors has delivered over 200 of their advanced mine detectors, the MDS-20, to the Australian Defence Force to assist in detecting and clearing explosive hazards in high-risk environments for Defence and humanitarian missions.

Our Director Defence Industry – UK, Tony Heath, has just wrapped up an impactful week at Eurosatory in Paris.

The global defence and security event brought together leading companies from around the world, highlighting cutting-edge innovation and advanced military technologies.

South Australian industry was proudly represented on the Team Defence Australia stand with Silentium Defence, Codan, Norseld Photonics, Praetorian, Rosebank, RFTEQ and Armor Australia in attendance.

Overall, it was a busy and productive week, with stand visits from BAE Systems, Inc., Moog, SAAB, MBDA, L3Harris Technologies, Rheinmetall, Babcock and Kongsberg, as well as delegations from Lithuania, Poland and the Netherlands.
