NOVAVAX BOOSTER UPDATE
Bookings for Novavax booster shots are now available at Forward Medical for certain ATAGI approved groups. Bookings must be made over the phone in order to check for eligibility.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before attending your appointment at Forward Medical, please inform the reception if you fall into any of the following categories as it may affect our ability to provide you with your vaccination:
- Non-Medicare card holders
- Those with underlying medical conditions
- Those who have previously had COVID-19

Forward Medical has been advised that a positive case of COVID-19 that may have been infectious was on-site on Tuesday 21st December from 4:15pm-4:45pm.

We have notified SA Health and are awaiting their advice however the clinic has not yet been officially listed as an exposure site. Following their available resources and out of an abundance of caution, we have shut the clinic for cleaning and have identified all contacts and notified them of the potential exposure.

All other patients present at the time are considered low-risk casual contacts and are advised to monitor for symptoms.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused however the health and safety of our patients and staff hold priority and a further update will be provided as soon as we receive any relevant information from SA Health.

IMPORTANT MASK UPDATE:
In accordance with new SA Government mandates, masks will be required at all times for all staff and patients starting 11:59PM on June 28. Forward Medical GP Clinic will be closed for the public holiday on Monday 26th of April. We will re-open again Tuesday 27th of April.

Flu shots are now available at Forward Medical GP Clinic. Those with Bupa or Medicare who are not covered under the AFIP have access to a limited number of clinic-funded flu shots. Patients with other private health insurance will have to pay a gap fee of $15. Bookings can now be made over the phone.

COVID-19 VACCINE ROLLOUT INFORMATION

The AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine is now available in limited quantities at Forward Medical GP Clinic. Bookings can be made by calling 8220 0006. In accordance to the Australian Government Rollout Guidelines, the vaccine is currently only available for those in Phase 1B so please check your eligibility before booking using this link: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility?lang=en

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As per ATAGI recommendations, it is preferred for those under 50 to wait and receive the Pfizer vaccine. Whilst this is not a enforced rule, Forward Medical GP Clinic WILL NOT be providing those under 50 with the AstraZeneca vaccine due to safety concerns. For more information visit the link below:

Forward Medical GP Clinic will be closed for the long weekend starting Friday 2nd of April. We will re-open again Tuesday 6th of April.

Vaccine rollout to the general public has begun and Forward Medical will begin stocking the AstraZeneca vaccine soon.

Currently, we are unable to take bookings as we do not know how many doses we will receive.
