Students in the Laboratory Skills course took their learning beyond the classroom with a hands-on water quality investigation at Sea World! 🌊🔬

From collecting samples at Broadwater, to then testing water from the aquarium exhibits, they explored how salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and other factors shape aquatic environments. Guided by industry-standard procedures, students gained real-world experience in environmental monitoring and saw firsthand how science protects our oceans and marine life 🦈.

Did you know that most people with Hepatitis B don’t even know they have it? There are often no symptoms at first, but if left untreated, it can lead to serious health issues like liver cancer.

That’s why we’re so grateful to the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) for visiting our Beginner English class at Acacia Ridge to share vital information about Hepatitis, as part of their Love Health program. And there’s more good news—ECCQ will be back at Acacia Ridge Community Centre on Tuesday, June 23rd, from 10:30am to 12pm, offering FREE finger-prick blood tests for Hepatitis B and C!
