Drying is the worst part of washing a car. So I stopped doing it. The tank pulls the minerals out of the water, so the last rinse just dries off clean. No towels, no swirls, no chasing drips in the sun.

That panic when the sun hits a wet panel and you know you’ve got about thirty seconds. This car is still wet in this shot and there’s not a single spot where it has dried. Wash. Rinse. Pack up

No, Spot Free Rinse will not remove water spots that are already on your car. It stops new ones landing in the first place. Only your car detailer can properly remove what is already there.

Fresh spots wipe off but the deposits stay. Leave them long enough and they etch in, and on glass that means polishing them out with cerium oxide or something similar. Exactly what happens to your shower screen over time, and there is a point where even acid will not help anymore.

Get your detailer to properly polish it, then rinse only with purified water and you are never doing it again.

There are only two ways to rinse a car with water that leaves nothing behind. Heavy rain, or a DI tank.

And before you ask, reverse osmosis on its own does not get you there. RO removes most of the minerals, not all of them. You still need deionised resin at the end to bring it down near 0 ppm.

Purified water has no minerals in it, so there is nothing left on the paint after it evaporates.
