Can you believe there are only 2 weeks of school left before the holidays begin? Time has certainly flown by, and we’re looking forward to making these final weeks full of fun, learning, laughter, and wonderful memories with our children.

As we head into the weekend, we would like to wish all of our families a happy, safe, and enjoyable weekend. Take some time to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments together.

🎨🦘 Learning through culture, creativity, and connection. 🐨🎨

Our children recently explored animal dot painting, incorporating elements of the 8 Ways of Learning framework. Through symbols, patterns, storytelling, and visual representation, children connected with Indigenous perspectives while expressing their creativity and learning about Australia’s unique wildlife.

This experience encouraged children to learn through observation, hands-on exploration, and shared knowledge, while developing fine motor skills, concentration, and an appreciation for Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing.

By integrating the 8 Ways of Learning into everyday experiences, we create opportunities for children to engage with culture respectfully, build connections to Country, and deepen their understanding of the world around them.

📢 Important Reminder for Families Receiving Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

If you received Child Care Subsidy (CCS) during the 2024–25 financial year, you must confirm your family income with Centrelink by 30 June 2026.

Failure to confirm your income by this date may result in:
• Your CCS and ACCS (if applicable) stopping.
• Your subsidy percentage reducing to 0% from 6 July 2026.
• Being required to pay full child care fees for any care used.

You can confirm your income by:
✔️ Lodging your 2024–25 tax return with the ATO, or
✔️ Advising Centrelink that you do not need to lodge a tax return and completing a Non-Lodgement of Tax Return declaration through your Centrelink online account or the Express Plus Centrelink app.

Please note: If you had a partner during the 2024–25 financial year, their income must also be confirmed.

We encourage all families receiving CCS to complete this process as soon as possible to avoid any interruption to their subsidy payments.

✨WEEK 9 PROGRAM✨

This week at OOSH, children will participate in a range of engaging experiences that support creativity, wellbeing, communication, and connection with others and the environment. Through yarning circles, nature exploration, creative arts, outdoor challenges, and Clubhouse activities, children will build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while having fun with their peers.🌱

Highlights include bug investigations, gardening, paper koi creations, sensory fidgets, survival challenges, cooking club, sports club, and sustainability projects.

As we celebrate Ocean Day Australia, our core value focus of **Wade Wellbeing** will encourage children to develop positive relationships, healthy habits, emotional awareness, and a strong sense of belonging within our OOSH community.💜🤩🤞🏼

🌟 Week 8 at Active OOSH is all about building friendships, confidence, wellbeing, and respect! 🌟

With Friendship Day just around the corner, our children will be exploring what it means to be a good friend through a range of exciting experiences designed to connect, inspire, and challenge.
