Congratulations to software developers, clinicians and pharmacists for connecting to the national PDS provider eRx Script Exchange. Over the next month, all unexpired eligible prescription data will transfer to the national PDS.

An important reminder for Medical Practices and Pharmacies.

You must be connected to the national Prescription Delivery Service provider eRx Script Exchange by 30 September 2023 to continue to access the national PDS.

This national Prescription Delivery Service (PDS) commenced on 1 July 2023.
The Australian Government has simplified fees and charges to make using the national PDS free for prescribing and dispensing.
Changes for pharmacists:
• Pharmacies will not be charged transactions fees using the national PDS
• The 15-cent electronic prescription fee (EPF) through Services Australia ended on 1 July 2023.
• PBS Online claiming will pay the 15c EPF for scripts if they have a date-of-supply before 1 July 2023.
