The SPALAX NG system has completed its successful year-long loan at the ’s TeST Centre in Seibersdorf and is now returning to France. The system supported three training activities, benefiting 20+ CTBTO staff and eight external experts from four countries. Many thanks to 🇫🇷 and CEA for this valuable contribution, strengthening the expertise behind the verification system.

A Capacity Building System (CBS) was installed by at Jordan's National Data Centre (NDC), hosted by the Jordan Seismological Observatory. This further strengthens the NDC's ability to receive & analyse International Monitoring System (IMS) data & International Data Centre (IDC) products, enhancing national technical capabilities in support of the verification regime.

🌍 3 weeks. 14 experts. 14 countries.
Technical experts from across Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Latin America came together to strengthen their National Data Centres' (NDCs) capacity to access, interpret and use monitoring data and International Data Centre (IDC) products. The hands-on training covered seismic, hydroacoustic, and infrasound monitoring, event analysis and CTBTO software, with the final week dedicated to SeisComP. The course, generously co-funded by the EU, supports CTBTO's efforts to build national technical capacity and promote civil and scientific use of International Monitoring System (IMS) data worldwide. 📡
