Last week, 29 participants from 14 National Data Centres across South-East Asia, the Pacific, and the Far East wrapped up an intensive training on accessing and analysing International Monitoring System waveform data & International Data Centre products - growing the 🌎 network of experts keeping our verification system strong.

In late April, 25 radionuclide and waveform operators from 22 countries came together in Vienna and TeST Centre in Seibersdorf for three days of training on the systems that keep station data authenticated and trusted across our global monitoring network 📡.
The majority were from G77 & Latin American and Caribbean States 🌍, reflecting how far the IMS reaches and the shared commitment to banning nuclear test explosions.

The HPC Workshop for Nuclear Test Explosion Monitoring wrapped up in Vienna earlier this month. In a hybrid format, participants worked with AI, deep learning & quantum algorithms - and came away with new ideas, new connections, and a shared commitment to a world 🌎 free of nuclear test explosions.

From high-level diplomacy to student dialogue, Rob Floyd wrapped up a visit to Latvia, a valued partner. Highlights included a meeting with Deputy State Secretary Olga Bogdanova, accompanied by Ambassador Raimonds Oškalns of Permanent Mission of the Republic of 🇱🇻 to the UN, OSCE and other International Organisations in Vienna, and a tour of the National Data Centre. The Executive Secretary also exchanged with the at Rīgas Stradiņa universitāte (Riga Stradins University) and experts at Latvian Institute of International Affairs, all important advocates for a 🌍 free from nuclear test explosions.
