The lamp’s singular functionality proved extremely fruitful creatively, as evidenced by the exhibition Van Lieshout does not limit himself to any shape, type or style. Some of his creations might look conventional at first, but have been executed in robust steel or the base and the shade have been turned up side down making the light shine from below and elevating the base to the status of sculpture on a pedestal. The visual language often refers to known AVL themes, such as human anatomy, utilitarian objects necessary for survival and the relentless progression of time.

Galerie Krinzinger is pleased to announce the participation in the 59th international art exhibition. Radhika Khimji will be on display at the Oman Pavilion, Arsenale and Meret Oppenheim will be on view at the Central Pavilion (Giardini) and Arsenale as part of "The Milk of Dreams", curated by Cecilia Alemani. The artist duo Hanakam & Schuller are currently represented with their work at Galerie Krinzinger showroom. “Hot and Steamy“ will be on display until 28.05! Many of the artifacts are shapeshifters, changing their outer form and then reappearing in a variety of contexts. “Reliquienschrein (Beschreibung einer Reiseroute)” on view at Galerie Krinzinger! The exhibition “Prototypes, sculptures, drawings” shows selected works by Walter Pichler from the 1960s and 1970s. In 1971 he expressed his feelings concerning the precarious situation of the indigenous people of Middle and South America and the Black Power movement in the artwork. Framed by the artists own blood, a map of South, North and Middle America is presented in a shrine.
