Schubert wrote over 600 lieder. Students from Austrian music universities are recording all of these lieder as part of a major collaborative project. Over four days of recording in March, I had the pleasure of recording the first part of this project at the MUK Vienna with students who had been wonderfully supervised and prepared by KS Birgid Steinberger (vocals) and Ralf Heiber (Lied accompaniment)

Buona sera signorina by Fred Buscaglione was one among the songs recorded by Marco Di Sapia and the Joe Hofbauer Quintett (extended by a guitar) the past two days. The pieces will be performed live in autumn, location to be announced.
