[EN] In this talk, Christophe Fellay explores the parallels between musical conduction and curatorial practice in contemporary art, using his own artistic practice as a starting point. Through an analysis of creative processes, works and performances, the presentation examines how this approach to artistic creation articulates the direction of musicians and curation as a means of structuring, guiding and bringing together the creative energies of an ensemble, whether musical or interdisciplinary.

[EN] « Listen to Me » (2025) – A Work Carved Between Earth and Sound
Christophe Fellay presents a unique creation: a sculpture etched into the earth, paired with an original vinyl record bearing the sonic imprint of the call « Listen to Me. » Here, matter and sound merge to weave a powerful dialogue between art, memory, and ecological commitment. At the heart of the project, the phrase « Listen to Me, » translated into local languages and dialects, becomes an urgent call: that of a river and its ecosystem, amplified by the voices of its inhabitants. Through collective artistic practices—performances, sound installations, and improvisations—this call transforms into an immersive experience. Active listening, transmission, and collective harmonization shape the contours of a new alliance between humans and their land.

Christophe Fellay présente une création unique : une sculpture gravée dans la terre, accompagnée d’un disque vinyle original portant l’empreinte sonore de l’appel « Écoutez-moi ». Ici, la matière et le son fusionnent pour tisser un dialogue puissant entre art, mémoire et engagement écologique. Au cœur du projet, la phrase « Écoutez-moi », traduite dans les langues et dialectes locaux, devient un appel urgent : celui d’un fleuve et de son écosystème, porté par les voix de ses habitants. À travers des pratiques artistiques collectives — performances, installations sonores, improvisations —, cette invitation se transforme en une expérience immersive. L’écoute active, la transmission et l’harmonisation collective y dessinent les contours d’une nouvelle alliance entre l’humain et son territoire.
