We believe that tomorrow's connectivity is built on today's research! 💡
For everyone trying to stay up-to-date in the microwave world, visiting by European Association on Antennas and Propagation is a must! Thanks for a great week full of inspiring talks, presentations and pushing the boundaries of engineering!
This year, our industrial PhD student Konrad Haipl attended as our delegate, taking home deep insights on metamaterials, phased arrays and satcom for our upcoming research and products.
Looking forward to in Düsseldorf!

13 dBi Gain. 400 g. L-Band.
The SYU.002-00A is a high-efficiency Yagi-Uda antenna for RPAS ground station datalinks. It operates in the L-Band (1350 – 1450 MHz), providing directional precision for long-range applications.
🪶 400 g lightweight design
🔃 Vertical and horizontal polarization
🗜️ Pattern optimized for GCS mast mounting
The high-gain pattern ensures reliable data transmission and signal stability for demanding ground control station setups.
🪄 Two more weeks until XPONENTIAL Europe and the preparations are in full swing!
We’re currently in full DIY mode, finalizing our setup for the exhibition. If you want to see what we’re printing, please visit us at our booth! What we can already tell you is that we will be bringing prototypes, presenting current projects, and showcasing our antenna and antenna system portfolio.
See you in Düsseldorf! 🫡

🪃 Welcome back Armin!
After his previous tenure from 2011 to 2018, Hirsch returns to PIDSO as Head of Operations.
He leads the structural backbone, covering Finance, HR, IT, QM, Purchasing, and Logistics. In our phase of rapid expansion, his focus is clear: establishing the operational efficiency required for sustainable and scalable growth.
When Armin is not streamlining our operations, he likes to spend time with his family, restoring classic cars and motorcycles or practicing karate with his son.
Dear Armin, it’s great to have you back! 🥋

LTE & 5G connectivity for RPAS.
The SDI.019-00A is a new lightweight, aerodynamic blade antenna for high-speed data transmission in unmanned systems. It covers the most frequently used sub 6 GHz bands of public mobile communication:
🗼 703 – 960 MHz | Long-range coverage
🛰️ 1427 – 1517 MHz | Supplemental L-Band
🌍 1710 – 2690 MHz | Global 4G/5G mid-band
🎮 3300 – 3800 MHz | High-capacity 5G (n78 and CRBS)
The gain pattern is optimized for RPA mounting to ensure signal stability during flight.

Additive manufacturing (AM), or 3D printing, has gained increased attention in recent decades. For several reasons, such as increased design freedom, reduced cost and production time, or increased manufacturing capability, AM has found its way into an engineer’s standard toolbox. AM has become a state-of-the-art fabrication technique, not only for rapid prototyping but also for low volume production.
