Extreme Design Base

Design in 21st century emerges as allyship to power in economic, social and cultural dynamics which made it inclusive yet
contextual – creating identities, projections and controversies. Design of today is contested towards margins in forms of decolonisation, materiality and temporality. The changing dynamics and expectations of publics challenge the commitment and impact of design base inquiry greatly. Can contextual design inquiry approaches the gap between perspectives of social reality and practice? Critical approach towards investigating power and design relationship could investigate extremities in the design. The research platform will focus not on additive theories, but will ontologically analyze relationship between power and design as emergent criticality.
