It’s insane how quickly the internet went back to glorifying thinness like it’s some kind of achievement
One minute everyone was talking about healing their relationship with their body and the next we’re back to romanticizing dramatic weight loss and acting like it is the ultimate life achievement. As if women don’t already spend enough of their lives thinking about their bodies.
What frustrates me most is how normalized all of this still is. People will genuinely ruin entire summers because they think their stomach should look different. They will stand at the beach pulling at their bikini bottoms instead of actually enjoying the fact that they are alive and surrounded by people they love. That’s heartbreaking.
Because life is happening right now. In messy apartments with your friends. In late night swims. In eating dessert because you felt like it. In laughing so hard you forget what your body even looks like for a second. All of it is worth so much more than finally fitting into whatever body trend the internet is currently obsessed with.
Your body is not ruining your life. The obsession with perfection probably is.

This week, our hearts broke a little.
Everlane, a brand that once stood for radical transparency, is being acquired by Shein. When we first heard the news, it felt like the end of an era. Seeing one of the pioneers of that movement take this path felt discouraging. But after sitting with it for a while, we realized something important.
This is not the end of fair fashion.
If anything, it is a reminder of why brands like ours exist in the first place. We started Ebenbild because we wanted to create clothes differently. We wanted to make pieces that feel beautiful to wear, that are made with care and that stay with you for years. That is why we design every piece ourselves. Why we spend months testing and refining each style until it feels just right. And why we choose to grow at a pace that allows us to stay true to what matters to us.
We have always believed that kindness belongs in every part of the process. In the way materials are chosen. In the way garments are made. In the way a piece feels against your skin.
Especially when it comes to underwear. It is the first thing you put on in the morning and the one thing that stays with you all day. When it fits perfectly , feels soft and supports you in the right places, it can change how you move through the day.
Some of the most meaningful moments for us happen in our store. Someone comes in feeling unsure, sometimes almost apologetic about their body. Then they try something on, look in the mirror and suddenly their whole expression changes. Their eyes light up. Their shoulders relax. They stand a little taller. That moment, when someone feels comfortable and confident in their own skin, is the reason we do what we do.
So today, we simply want to say thank you: Thank you for supporting a small independent label. Thank you for choosing quality over quantity. Thank you for believing that comfort, kindness and responsibility still matter.
Kindness is still our dream. And we are not done yet.

Sometimes the most important things happen quietly.
You catch your reflection and smile. You feel good and there is no urge to question it.
You slip into the bikini you thought you had to earn. The one that shows a little more skin and feels a little bolder. The one you might previously have hidden beneath a towel. But this time, you walk to the beach feeling at ease. You let your body simply be, meeting yourself with the same kindness you so freely offer to others.
You begin to enjoy your own company. And as your relationship with yourself softens, you start to notice something else: how deeply we are shaped by the people around us.
The ones who make us feel safe. Who protect our name when we are not in the room. Who share our particular kind of weird. Who remind us, simply by loving us as we are, that we were never too much.
Because self-worth does not grow in isolation.
It begins within us, but it is strengthened in connection, in friendships that feel easy and in moments when we feel fully seen and still deeply loved.

Keinen perfekteren Zeitpunkt.
Keine neue Version von dir.
Es braucht nur diesen Moment.
NOW. As You Are.

Ins Wasser springen, ohne lange nachzudenken.
Dich bewegen, ohne zu überlegen, was andere denken.
Unsere Swimwear ist genau dafür gemacht: Für echte Körper. Für echte Momente.
As You Are.

It started with a key.
A small space, a few pieces,
and a feeling we couldn’t quite explain yet.
Two years later,
it still feels just as special.
To celebrate, we’re giving you -20% on your Lieblingsstück.
Just for a few days.
Thank you for being here 🤍

Long before Ebenbild existed, there were two girls who cared a lot about how clothes feel.
One of them refused to wear anything uncomfortable.
The other believed comfort should never be boring.
Years later, we started Ebenbild. Still believing comfort matters.

Why does softness always get mistaken for weakness?
Lace is delicate.
You are not.
Our softest lace set is for bodies that breathe, move, stretch … exist.
For days that don’t need to be perfect to be beautiful.
This set is soft.
But it is not here to please anyone but you.
What if the most radical thing you did this spring
was simply feel good in your own skin?
Wear it because you want to.
Not because someone told you how you have to look like.
Wear it for yourself.
Always.
❤️

Why the h🤬ll does it take society this long to learn that all bodies are completely, perfectly, 100% normal?
So many people don’t wear a bikini out in public because they think they look disgusting. DISGUSTING - How f🤬cked up is that?
Most of us have stretch marks. Most of us just got good at hiding them. They are, and always will be - a part of you. They exist for the simple fact that you GREW. That’s it.
No amount of oils, lotions, creams, miracle ointments, nor coffee grounds will ever make stretch marks go away.
Your body is not a project that needs to be “finished.”
It’s not too soft, too big, too small. It’s not “imperfect.”
It’s shaped by memories, courage, joy, connections – by everything that makes you, you.
And if anybody ever tells you that your stretch marks are ugly, disgusting, abnormal, unattractive, and deserves to be hidden or “fixed”? Kick them out of your life.
If they can’t handle stretch marks, they can’t handle a human being.

Rasierpickel verstecken. Cellulite wegtrainieren. Haare entfernen. Falten glätten. Narben kaschieren. Bäuche einziehen.
Was davon brauchen wir in unserem Leben? Nichts davon.
Nur uns.
So wie wir sind.
unperfekt.
perfekt.
Jeder Körper verdient es, gesehen zu werden.
Gefühlt.
Gefeiert.
