About four years ago (or longer), I made an animated music video for The Loom of Time, and somehow forgot to share this.
Here’s a snippet from a longer video podcast on YouTube “Episode XVIII - The Lance of Longinus | The Tomb of Lime Podcast” where Matt talks about how the song came together and watches through the video, breaking down what he envisioned and how I translated those ideas into animation.
It’s a rare chance to see a project from that side: the person behind the music reflecting on what we created together. And yes, I occasionally come back to watch it for a little ego boost.
Matt mentions a possible behind-the-scenes breakdown from me towards the end. I never made one, partly because after watching his, showing my animation process felt a bit less interesting than hearing what it all meant to him. Maybe I’ll share a few small bits here someday and add my side of the story.
