Auch von meiner Seite nochmals: Ganz herzlichen Glückwunsch an alle Preisträger:innen! 👏 👏 👏

Aus über 300 Einreichungen haben die folgenden Unternehmen/Institutionen die hochkarätige Jury überzeugt:

• In der Kategorie Patent ging die höchste staatliche Auszeichnung an wienerberger Österreich ​👏
• Die Kategorie Marke konnte das junge Unternehmen NEWORN für sich entscheiden 💪
• Der Spezialpreis Matilda ging an die University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) ​🙌
..und das haben wir vergangene Woche in den Wiener Sofiensälen gehörig gefeiert. 🥂 🤩 🎻
Es war ein Abend voller Innovation, Inspiration und Anerkennung für herausragende Ideen und engagierte Köpfe, der auch mir noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird.

Oh, what a night! Das war die Verleihung des Staatspreises Patent 2025 in den Wiener Sofiensälen. 🤩

Nochmals ganz herzliche Gratulation an alle Preisträger:innen – es war mir eine Ehre, durch den Abend führen zu dürfen! 🙏

Kürzlich durfte ich ein Event moderieren, auf das ich mich wochenlang besonders gefreut habe: der offizielle Launch der Microsoft Cloud Region Österreich im Haus der Digitalisierung in Tulln – ein echter Meilenstein für ein starkes, digitales und zukunftsorientiertes Österreich! 🎤🚀

Gemeinsam mit Hermann Erlach, General Manager Microsoft Österreich, Sonja Pierer, Managing Director Intel Germany, Quantencomputing-Pionier Matthias Troyer und weiteren hochkarätigen Gästen durfte ich der Frage auf den Grund gehen, wie lokale Datenhaltung, minimale Latenz und 100 % erneuerbare Energie den Weg für KI- und Quanteninnovationen ebnen. 💡

Vielen Dank, dass ich zum Gelingen dieses wahrlich spektakulären Abends (ich meine: seht euch BITTE diese unglaublich tolle 360-Grad LED-Wall an!!) beitragen durfte. 💜🤗

One of the standout moments on Day 2 of the 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢 2025 was an exclusive evening screening of “How to Build a Truth Engine” — the latest documentary by award-winning Austrian filmmaker and journalist Friedrich Moser, co-produced by none other than George Clooney.

The film powerfully sets the stage for Day 3’s focus topic: AI + Disinformation, exploring the critical question of how we can protect truth in an age of algorithms, deepfakes, and information warfare.

In this beautifully crafted documentary, Fritz follows investigative journalists from the New York Times and the ICIJ, AI researchers from UCLA and UC Berkeley, and neuroscientists who study how our brains process (and fall for) misinformation.

🧠💻 It’s a fascinating look at the intersection of technology, media, and human cognition.

And yes — I got to ask Fritz Moser:

Es war mir eine große Ehre, das größte Export- und Internationalisierungsevent Zentraleuropas im Julius-Raab-Saal der WKÖ zum mittlerweile dritten Mal in Folge (davon zum zweiten Mal als Hauptmoderatorin) moderieren zu dürfen! 🎤

Mit rund 3.000 Besucher:innen, führenden Exportdienstleister:innen, internationalen Speaker:innen und über 60 Wirtschaftsdelegierten aus aller Welt wurde der Exporttag 2025 seinem Motto mehr als gerecht:
👉 "𝙎𝙚𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙊𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨. 𝙉𝙊𝙒!"

Vor den offiziellen Welcome Remarks von WKÖ Präsident Harald Mahrer und Bundesminister für Wirtschaft, Energie und Tourismus Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, habe ich mich besonders gefreut, die Veranstaltung gemeinsam mit dem Leiter der AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA, Michael Otter, zu eröffnen – es war der Kick-Off für einen wahrlich ereignisreichen Tag.

Inhaltlich haben wir uns auf drei große Themenfelder konzentriert:
🔹 Geopolitische Resilienz
🔹 Wirtschaftliche Entwicklungen & Wachstumsmärkte
🔹 Transformative Ökosysteme
– jeweils eingeleitet durch inspirierende Keynotes und vertieft in spannenden Panels.

Was mich besonders beeindruckt hat: die unglaubliche Energie und Bereitschaft, die Zukunft aktiv zu gestalten – sei es in den Workshops zu KI, Cybersecurity & Innovation, in den Ländertalks oder im direkten Austausch mit den Expert:innen der WKÖ.

💬 Der Exporttag ist weit mehr als eine Konferenz. Er ist eine Aktivierungsplattform – für alle, die jetzt ins Handeln kommen wollen.

Ein großes DANKE an das Team der AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA, an alle Speaker:innen, Teilnehmer:innen – und an alle, die diesen Tag möglich gemacht haben. 🙌

Moderating two major international conferences across four consecutive days is no small task – it takes intense preparation, deep focus, and quite a bit of stamina. But moments like this one make it all worth it.

When you get to work with a team you've trusted for years, and when familiar faces — both on and off stage — return like cherished regulars, something special happens. Despite the weighty, complex topics we tackle, there are these light moments that feel almost...familial. Warm, relaxed, full of trust, AND also: full of fun. 😃

The first week of June marked the most intense and inspiring event week of my year as a moderator — and what a ride it was!

Directly after moderating the "𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱" of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, I had the honor to once again help shape the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 (hashtag #𝗜𝗗𝗦𝗙𝟮𝟱) — hosted right in the heart of Vienna at the beautiful MuseumsQuartier.

🎤 On behalf of 𝗔𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, the 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, and the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮 (KSÖ), I had the great pleasure of welcoming more than 500 participants, over 100 speakers, and numerous distinguished international guests.

🕊 Under this year’s theme "𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲", IDSF brought together national and international leaders, policymakers, researchers, and industry pioneers for three days of exchange, collaboration, and forward-thinking.

🌍 It was an honor to welcome ambassadors and country representatives from:
𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺, 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮, 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘇𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰, 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮, 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗲, 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆, 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗮, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗞, 𝗨𝗦𝗔, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼.

On the first day, the official opening felt like a real reunion – for the third time now, I had the great pleasure of inviting the hosts onto the stage:
- The initiator of the IDSF and Head of Center for Digital Safety & Security at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology & Vice President of the Competence Center Secure Austria: Helmut Leopold
- and the Head of Crisis Response & Resilience at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber: Reinhard Marak

The start of three intensive days of discussions on 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗔𝗜 + 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

IDSF continues to grow as a platform for meaningful conversations and impactful international cooperation. I am honored to have - once again - contributed to its success. 🤗

🌍 Forum Ressourcenwende 2025 – Rückblick auf zwei inspirierende Tage in Wiener Neustadt

Ende Mai durfte ich als Moderatorin durch das Forum Ressourcenwende 2025 führen – ein Format des Bundesministerium für Innovation, Mobilität und Infrastruktur und der FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency im Rahmen der Woche der Ressourcenwende.

Unter dem Motto „Forschung trifft Wirtschaft: Innovationen für eine wettbewerbsfähige und zirkuläre Produktion“ drehte sich alles um Lösungen, wie wir Wirtschaft und Ressourcenschonung gemeinsam denken können.

💬 Besonders in Erinnerung bleibt mir das hashtag zum Auftakt am Dienstagabend – ein intensiver Austausch in kleiner Runde mit großen Fragen:
Wie stärken wir unseren Standort durch kreislauforientierte Innovationen?
Wie gelingt der Brückenschlag zwischen Forschung & Markt?
Welche Rolle spielt die Industrie – und wo stößt sie (noch) an Grenzen?

✨ Mein persönliches Fazit: Ressourcenwende ist kein Nice-to-have – sie ist ein echter Wettbewerbsvorteil. Aber nur, wenn wir gemeinsam daran arbeiten. 🤝
