Your baby’s first birthday session is such a special milestone 🤍🎂

A little preparation can make the whole experience smoother, calmer, and so much more joyful for both of you.

🦄 In this short guide, I’m sharing my favorite tips to help you get the most out of your session.

🛁Talk to your little one a few days before, tell them you’re coming to celebrate, there will be cake, bubbles, and fun. It helps them feel safe and familiar with what’s coming.

🐣Come with an open heart. Every baby is different. Some love the cake, some love the bath, some just want to play. And sometimes they don’t like the cake at all, or feel unsure about the bubbles, and that’s completely normal. We will always create beautiful moments together.

🌻Morning sessions work best, when babies are happiest and well-rested.

🍌Bringing favorite snacks can be a game changer. Sometimes we even use them on top of the cake, so your little one already has something familiar and exciting to reach for.

📅Planning your session a few weeks before the birthday gives you time to receive your photos and prepare for the actual celebration party.

🥳Before the session, think about what makes your baby laugh, we will use that during the shoot. And during the session, it helps a lot if you stand behind me, at the same level as my camera, so we can catch those real, happy reactions.

👗For outfits, I provide everything for your baby, but it’s best if your clothes are in harmony with the overall look. We will talk about this together before your session.
