For the past 20 years, I’ve seen myself as a painter. But lately, I can’t stop making these huge dolls… even though I have absolutely no space for them.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been selected for a residency at the in Shanghai, China, from September 2026 to January 2027 🔥
I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the support. It will be my first time in China, I can’t wait!

Its finally done! This is the largest sculpture I’ve made so far and it came with many challenges along the way.

The entire form is made from more than 100 individual pieces of tights, stitched together to slowly build the body. Working on this scale meant constantly rethinking the structure, the seams, and how the form would hold itself together. The process was slow and demanding, but seeing the final shape emerge made it all worth it 🔥

At the moment, I’m completely focused on my work.

I‘m currently working on a new large doll, it will be the biggest one I’ve ever made..

And in the late summer/fall, I’ll also be heading into a new multi month residency, far outside of Europe ;) I’ll be announcing more details in the coming months, stay tuned 🔥

This is a large doll I made last year. I’m already in the planning stage for the next big one. The next few weeks are going to be exciting 🔥
