AI FEN (PL/CN) live December 9 at Venster 99

Ai fen is a Polish/Chinese composer, musician and producer based in Prague. Through sweeping tracks and visceral performances combining soprano flute, keys and a dramatically fluctuating vocal, Ai fen is blending together experimental pop with techno, neoclassical, drone and ambient elements with live incorporation of keys, soprano flute, samples and vocal performance.

HYEJI NAM (KOR) live December 9 at Venster 99

An interdisciplinary creator, Hyeji Nam’s work, exhibited/performed from LA to Australia to Iceland, intertwines digital and physical, exploring the mind-body dynamic in a digitalised age. 2023 marked the release of her first album “miracles” under Viennese independent record label Tender Matter. Each piece, whether performance art, music, or multimedia projects, reflects on themes of body, mind, and technology, offering a unique narrative of human experience.

AN # # (DE) hybrid December 9 at Venster 99

an # # contextually creates dj sets consisting of tracks that are remixed with famous pop tracks, often dealing with romance and straight dating culture. These remixes being played by a transgender women change the meaning of these (hetero) normative tropes of pop culture and deconstruct their meaning of classic models of romance existing in duality towards an opening of a collective romantic dance experience.
By transferring the everyday experiences of a transgender woman into a staged art space experience using scenographic and performative elements, she aims to give the space the possibility of extended identity.

TENDER MATTER LABEL NIGHT

Close to the end of this year we are honored to host our second ever label night including some dear friends. Organizing events and having access to safer spaces or having the means to create them is a privilege and we are glad that we have the chance to come together, listen to music and share a moment in the face of constant atrocity, grief and apathy.
