History isn’t just written in textbooks; sometimes, it unfolds right before our eyes. And today, the spotlight is firmly on Liberia’s Nimba County.

It is now official. Superintendent Kou Meapeh Gono is stepping up to the podium to deliver the keynote address at Nimba University’s 9th Commencement Convocation, hosted at the Sanniquellie City Hall.
But why is this a headline? Why does this matter?

Because this is far from your ordinary graduation speech. It is a monumental first. Never before in the history of Nimba County has a sitting Superintendent delivered a commencement address at the university.
