ANDINA
Argentine Rugs, unique pieces. ANDINA is a socially-responsible textile design studio made up of artisans, designers, and social entrepreneurs.
We are located in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in New York City, United States. Our mission is to share, honor, and promote the strength of the Andean people in northern Argentina and their traditions by sharing their creations with the world. We aim to create a better world socially, environmentally, and economically through our unique pieces.

| Natural spectrum.
Nine tones, all undyed. Each one comes directly from the llama’s own fiber, offering subtle variations shaped by nature rather than pigment. These are the colors we work with for our llama throws and bed quilts.

| Designed to decide.
These strike-offs are part of how we work with designers. Small woven samples, sent to review texture, color, and scale before a rug goes into production. A shared step that keeps decisions grounded in material and proportion.

| Marked with intention.
Our labels are made from reclaimed cow leather, using leftover hides that would otherwise go to waste. A small detail that reflects our approach to materials, durability, and conscious making.

| Natural tones.
Woven from undyed llama fiber, each throw carries the color of the animal itself. Soft, lightweight, and breathable, they rest easily within the space, shaped by hand and left intentionally simple.

| Custom for
In collaboration with Everlane, we developed custom rugs for their retail spaces, designed to support the architecture and flow of each store. Made to measure, woven by hand, and shaped to live quietly within the space.

| Made to order.
Each rug is woven specifically for its space. Size, design, and color are defined together, whether it’s a checkered pattern like this one or something entirely different. The process begins once the details are set, and the loom follows.

| Where the work begins.
Many of our rugs are woven in places like this. Homes in the Monte, where daily life and craft share the same ground, and weaving is part of a living tradition passed from one generation to the next.

| A slower approach.
At ANDINA, we work with time as a material. Pieces are made by hand, in small batches, following the rhythm of the loom rather than a schedule. It’s a way of working that values patience, continuity, and honest materials.
